Billy Genocide

"Perfect!"

submission: Billy Genocide
date: December 14, 2009

To me, it's the perfect game for stress relieving :D What glitches? Oh come on! Awesome graphics, sounds, and of course the zombie-destroying-action - not too long, fits in a coffe break... need I say more? :D Although it'd be good if those objects you collect along the way would actually count at barricades, not just the weapons. Oh well... Cheers!

Underground Terror 3D

"has potential..."

date: July 18, 2009

Nice monster graphics, but the aim is very annoying. Couldn't beat the 2nd level! Ok, might be my bad, for wanting a medium hard shooting game, where I don't have to crawl into the monitor, and still kick @ss...
Could be made better. Music is cool though.

Peace

Jazzy and unfinished

"Quality as usual"

date: August 5, 2009

I know it's a spring submission, but I hope (and wish) you'll finish it with time... the songs I wrote for example, always took more than a year to complete (including real instrument stuff).

The jazzy feel is perfect, keep it! More saxofone for the masses please. :)
An idea: start out as jazzy, then wander away from it (like between 0:42-1:15), back again (like at the end of this) then wandering away again, and ending jazzy - so it'll be like a frame. 1:17 could already have the drum starting at 1:25, so you'll only have 3 really mellow parts (beginning, middle, end) where natural instruments (oh the saxofone!!! :D) prevail.
The blips - take their volume down a bit, and they should be perfect. You could throw in something messier, more drastic before the end, or a different sounding, slow but pronounced drumbeat for variety, whichever works for you.

Anyways, your work is high quality - I wish you further success. :)
Peace

Author's Response:

Lately it just feels I've either ran out of creative juice for the time being, or ran out of inspiration... Perhaps both are the same thing. Went through a breakup recently, found out that an other ex of mine, the one I was with the longest (3 years) is now engaged... Blah, I guess that's just life. And I have commitment issues. I guess that's how creative people are, though. Doomed to be miserable by their own hand. I'm starting to realize I'm able to channel more emotion through my music than what I'm actually capable of feeling or experiencing for myself.

Sorry for this horribly long emo ramble. I really appriciate your review!

Regards,
merlin

"interesting"

Would go well with a rpg. Plus points for the story :D Interesting build up, and I like the constant but gradual change. I'd say, "better than expected" :)

Short Polka Dots

"Nice"

submission: Short Polka Dots
date: August 5, 2009

Cool sounding drums, plus interesting and fun-and-happy melody runs. First half reminds me of a starry midnight sky. I really liked the part from 00:29-1:51, not a long solo at all (but parts like that would happen between 5-min dnb songs). Btw grats on being featured.
On a sidenote, I missed the hardcore bass side (would go well with the hc drum), and other additional instruments.
Peace :)
